SEED 2026

Growing youth-led ideas for a sustainable future

Future Anything is proud to partner with Taronga Conservation Society to bring SEED back for 2026.

Returning for a third year, SEED is a dynamic project-based learning program that empowers students in Year 8 – Year 10 to ideate, prototype and pitch innovative solutions to pressing environmental problems.

Tackling the mission, “As an entrepreneur, pitch a sustainable and innovative idea that tackles a conservation challenge”, participants will develop the future capabilities that are crucial for a life of impact and professional success.

This practical, industry-linked program includes:

  • Two-Day Launch Workshop, Thursday 11th & Friday 12th June

Held at Taronga Zoo, students kick off their journey with an exciting workshop that includes hands-on sessions led by Taronga’s conservation experts. They’ll unpack complex environmental and conservation challenges, form teams, and collaborate to develop their own impact-driven ideas.

  • Self-Paced Online Curriculum

We provide a self-paced, fully resourced online curriculum that provides six hours of practical learning for students. This curriculum will support teams to validate their idea and prepare it for receiving feedback and the Showcase.

  • Expert Mentoring, Friday 21st August 3.30 – 5.30pm

Students will receive personalised feedback and guidance from conservation and business professionals, helping them to strengthen and elevate their projects in real time.

  • Exciting Showcase Event at Taronga Zoo, with Prizes, 4-8pm, Thursday 17th September

The program culminates in the Showcase Event at Taronga Zoo, where student teams will Tradeshow Display or pitch their ideas to a panel of industry experts. Amazing prizes are on offer for the winning team, including a $100 gift voucher, a Keeper for a Day Experience at Taronga Zoo, and the opportunity to join YouthX – Future Anything’s accelerator program for young entrepreneurs.

That’s not all! Every team participating in SEED 2026 will also be eligible to apply for Future Anything’s National Grand Final, providing them with the chance to win a share in over $100k of prizes and funding to make their idea a reality.
